He married in prison and had four children until lobbying by Sharon Tate's mother ended his conjugal visit rights.
He claims he has been 'forgiven by God.'
He found religion while in jail.

He claims to have become a born-again Christian and operates a prison ministry.
He has apologized to the family members of his victims on his web site.
John Waters dedicated the film 'Female Trouble' to him.
