Why they might be annoying:

    Many people refer to it as either 'Swift' or its common nickname 'Speedy Creek.'
    Their junior hockey team, the Broncos moved to Lethbridge for 12 years, before returning to the city.
    It earned international notoriety after it was revealed Graham James sexually abused Bronco players (most notably Sheldon Kennedy) during his time as the team's head coach.
    It has a reputation for being a pit-stop town as many retail chains are located on the service roads alongside the Trans-Canada Highway.
    Its slogan is 'Where Life Makes Sense.'
    It made headlines after a rat infestation plagued the city (August 2009).
    It was briefly home to the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, which relocated to Calgary in the late 1990's.

Why they might not be annoying:

    It is considered a hub city for the southwest corner of Saskatchewan.
    Due to frequently experiencing the chinooks from Alberta, it has warmer winters then the rest of the province.
    It rallied around the Broncos after four of the team's players (one of them was the brother of NHL coach Lindy Ruff) were killed in a bus crash on the Trans-Canada east of the city (December 30, 1986).
    Three years after the bus crash, they rallied behind the Broncos as the team won their first Memorial Cup title in Saskatoon (1989).
    Due to its location in the prairie valley region, it is home to a lot of picturesque scenery.
    It is home to the Frontier Days exhibition show, which takes place during the third week of July.
    It is the home of the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame.
