Why they might be annoying:

    They were a one-hit wonder.
’The Billboard Book of One-Hit Wonders’ notes about ‘Angel Baby,’ ‘At moments, the drummer seems to forget what track he’s playing on, the record is flawed with flubs, and the sound quality of the recording is poor.’
They broke up almost immediately due to a dispute over the songwriting credits for ‘Angel Baby.’
Hamlin attempted an unsuccessful solo career, billed as ‘Rosie, formerly of the Originals.’

Why they might not be annoying:

They were unable to get a record contract until they convinced a department store to play the master of ‘Angel Baby’ in the listening booths of the store’s music department. An enthusiastic response from teenage listeners convinced a scout from Highland Records to sign them.
’Angel Baby’ was a Top Five hit on Billboard’s pop and R&B charts.
In an interview with ‘Life,’ John Lennon called ‘Angel Baby’ one of his favorite songs.
In the liner notes for ‘Houses of the Holy,’ Led Zeppelin ask, ‘Whatever happened to Rosie and the Originals?’
They did not receive any royalties from their hit record for over three decades, eventually reaching a settlement with the record label in 1994.
