Football Coach

The Resume

    (November 10, 1960- )
Born in Fall River Mills, California
Head coach for the Willamette Bearcats (1993–97), Boise State Broncos (2001–05), Colorado Buffaloes (2006–10), Montreal Alouettes (2013), U.S. National team (2015) and the UC Davis Aggies
Offensive coordinator for the College of the Siskiyous (1988-91) and the Vienna Vikings (2016)
Defensive coordinator for Sonoma State (1992)
Assistant coach for the UC Davis Aggies (1983-85), Christian Brothers High School (1986-87) and the Boise State Broncos (1998-2000)
Fullback for the UC Davis Aggies (1981-82)

Why he might be annoying:

His tenure at the University of Colorado was plagued with inconsistency.
He failed to back up his pledge of 'ten wins; no excuses' as the Buffaloes finished with a 3-9 record during the 2009 season.
He guided the Buffaloes to the worst collapse in the history of the school's football program, as they blew a 28 point lead, which eventually cost them the game (2010).
There was widespread speculation his decision to throw the ball, rather than run it was in order for his son to set the school record for all-time passing yards (2010).
He was fired three days after that game, after it was revealed he cut a mandatory press conference to just 27 seconds and gave a sour and sarcastic reply to a reporter in the process.
Despite being hired with the hope of being the CFL's next version ofMarc Trestman, he was fired by the Montreal Alouettes after five games (2013).
Many Canadian football pundits felt his inability to work with professional football players and refusal to learn the Canadian game played major factors in the Alouettes decision to fire him.

Why he might not be annoying:

He majored in physical education at the University of California-Davis.
He worked under future NFL head coach Dirk Koetter at Boise State.
He guided Willamette to the school's first berth in the NAIA Division II Football Championship game (1997).
He coached in nearly every level of football other than the NFL, which he has never been associated with.
He coached the United States national team to its third consecutive IFAF World Championship title (2015).
