    Acted in 'The Jerk (1979),' 'History of the World: Part I (1981)' and 'Caddyshack II (1988)'
    He has a monotone and nasal delivery.
    His comedic observations tend to be obvious and predictable.
    Much of his routine is about the differences between Jews and Gentiles.
    He said that New York City mayor David Dinkins was a 'fancy schvartze' and that Islam was a 'murderous religion.'
    Once when appearing on 'The Ed Sullivan Show,' he refused to get off stage and was accused of giving Sullivan the finger. He was then banned from the show for over a year.
    He was nominated for a Razzie Award as 'Worst Actor of the Year' for 'Caddyshack II' (1989).

    While working as a Rabbi, he told jokes and stories throughout the service and was advised to become a professional comedian.
    He enjoys provoking controversy with his routines.
    Even at an old age, he tours and performs extensively.
    His Broadway shows are critically and commercially acclaimed.
    He is the fourth person to receive an honorary degree from the Oxford University Debating Society, the others being Mahatma Gandhi, John F. Kennedy, and Jimmy Carter.
    He was awarded for 'Bravery, Commitment and Valor to the State of Israel,' which is the highest honor given by the Israeli government.
    He won an Emmy for his voice-over work on 'The Simpsons.'
