Despite giving the Capitals over 10 years of service, he was traded to Colorado for virtually nothing in return.
He goes by the nickname 'Kono.'
He missed the majority of the 2001-02 season due to a wrist injury.
He cried when he got traded to Colorado.
He shuffled back and forth between the Caps and their minor league affiliates during his first few seasons in the professional ranks.
