    He worked as a public relations executive.
    While filming ‘Hell’s Angels ’69’ – which he co-wrote – he broke his leg. It was his fourth and last ‘biker film’ — and the last time he would ride a motorcycle.
    His early roles were mainly as targets for beating up (including once by Billy Jack).
    He co-starred with Ron Ely (yeah, the future Tarzan) in the very short-lived ‘Aquanauts’ (which only a few episodes later was renamed ‘Malibu Run’!).
    He was briefly married to Tammy Grimes.
    In the rugged looks department, he could have given Gregory Peck a run for his money.
    Having attended military academy, he joined the Navy at age 16.
    The destroyer to which he was assigned assisted in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day (he was 18).
    During a stint on a steamship line as a travel manager, he achieved the Peruvian equivalent of a Tony.
    Among about a hundred TV guest appearances, he made nine on ‘Gunsmoke,’ three on ‘Alfred Hitchcock Hour,’ and two as a client of Perry Mason.
