    She was a tomboy.
    She wanted to become a trapeze artist.
    She eloped.
    Her first marriage didn't last the night.
    She was turned down for the role of Melanie Wilkes in 'Gone With The Wind.'
    Her film career dried up after 11 years.
    She became a popular actress in the late thirties and early forties.
    She typically played a soft, wholesome girl every mother wanted her son to marry.
    Even though her sisters were more experienced performers, she achieved the most success on the silver screen.
    She starred opposite some of Hollywood's greatest leading men.
    She gave up the acting career she loved for her family as she felt she could not have both.
    She is buried at Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband.
