    (June 6, 1903-May 1, 1978)
    Born in Tbilisi, Georgia
    Russian-Armenian Composer
Composed Spartacus, Gayane, Waltz from Masquerade and the State Anthem for Armenia when it was under Soviet rule
Gayane included his most famous work, The Sabre Dance
He was a part of the Communist movement and helped spread Soviet propaganda.
The same Communist party he supported later limited his work and condemned him. Shame no backsies huh, Aram?
He was forced to apologize for his 'Third Symphony' being 'formalist' and 'anti-popular.' Ironically that piece was DEDICATED to communism.
His most popular work is best known for being the music played when someone is juggling or spinning plates.
He was posthumously honored by having his likeness put on the 50 dram currency note in Armenia.
The Sabre Dance is one of the most recognizable pieces of classical music ever.
He incorporated Armenian folk music into his music.
He kind of looked like Rodney Dangerfield.
