Why he might be annoying:

The years claimed for his birth vary from 1952 to 1960.
He recorded his first single at age sixteen (or, depending on which birth year you go with, as young as age eight); it was not a success.
    He was nicknamed ‘Killer.’

Why he might not be annoying:

His father abandoned the family, and he was raised by his grandparents.
Inner Circle leader Roger Lewis said Miller was ‘always happy and jovial. He always made jokes.’
During the One Love One Peace concert, he brought Claudie Massop and Tony Welch, leaders of two of Kingston’s most violent gangs, onstage to shake hands and pledge to keep the peace (1978).
He died shortly before a planned North American tour with Bob Marley that could have been his international breakthrough.
His album ‘Natty Christmas’ is a holiday perennial in Jamaica and Jamaican communities abroad.
