Why he might be annoying:

He was nicknamed 'The Hemperor.'
He ran for president twice, getting 3,875 votes on the more successful try.
He credited psychedelic mushrooms as the 'secret' to his recovery from a stroke.
Ironically, he campaigned against the 'Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010,' claiming it would place an unfair tax burden on marijuana consumers.
Disappointingly, he died at 11:17 rather than 4:20.

Why he might not be annoying:

He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He first smoked pot at age 30 when the girl he was dating 'tried three times to get me high. Finally it worked, and I had the most incredible sex I'd ever had. My first words after orgasm were: 'This is illegal?''
He traveled up to 70,000 miles a year advocating for marijuana legalization.
He was mistakenly reported as dead after he suffered a heart attack following a fiery speech at the Portland Hempfest (September 12, 2009).
