The Resume

    (March 21, 2012-March 29, 2017)
    Born in United States
    Airs on A&E
Premise: The lives of the Robertson family as they run their Duck Commander duck calling business in rural Louisiana
Stars company founder Phil Robertson, his brother Silas 'Si' Robertson and his sons Willie and Jase Robertson

Why Duck Dynasty might be annoying:

It is another reality show about a gruff family who runs a business together.
    The Robertsons are deeply religious.
The show's primary audience consists of rednecks and conservative Christians.
Its popularity led to a licensed board game, gift wrap, clothing, handbags, hunting gear, birthday cards, playing cards, ect.
Much of the show consists of the guys sitting around in the warehouse having inane conversations.
They ripped off their look from ZZ Top.
The Robertsons admit that much of the show is staged.
Their duck callers are basically fancy kazoos.
Phil Robertson was suspended from the show by A&E after he claimed homosexuality was sinful during an interview with GQ Magazine.(December 18, 2013)

Why Duck Dynasty might not be annoying:

It became a huge hit for A&E, with its fourth season premiere becoming the highest-rated reality TV broadcast in cable TV history.
The Robertsons say that although the show is staged, they ad-lib and stay true to themselves.
The Robertsons' inane conversations and antics are often quite hilarious.
It is wholesome entertainment that promotes family values.
Staunch vegan Morrissey refused to appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' when he was scheduled to appear on the same night as the Robertsons.
The Robertsons responded by doing a vegan-friendly parody of themselves calling carrots for 'Kimmel.'
The Robertsons had to deal with rabid fans traveling to Louisiana and harassing them at their homes.
The theme song, fittingly enough, is a ZZ Top song.
A&E retracted its suspension of Phil Robertson because of a widespread public outcry and threatened boycott.(December 27, 2013)
