    (November 27, 2007-circa February 28, 2010)
    Born in Vancouver, Canada
Mascots of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
Miga is a mythical 'sea bear'- part Kermode bear, part orca
Quatchi is a big hairy sasquatch
Created by Canadian-American design studio Meomi Design
Neither mascot is of an actual full species that exists.
Anti-Olympic protesters accused them of trying to manipulate children to support the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Quatchi likes to hide in the bushes and take pictures like a paparazzi.
Some believe the mascots to be 'cheap anime' and not truly repesentative of Canada.
While Miga likes fast sports, Quatchi doesn't (Big sissy!).
Both mascots are representative of BC Native myths and legends.
Both mascots love all winter sports but Miga's favorite is snowboarding and Quatchi's favorite is hockey.
They were commonly seen throughout the Vancouver Olympics, appearing live at events and on scoreboards.
They represent the love of winter sports and dreams of Canadian children.
