    During the ‘60s, he participated in ‘happenings’ with Yoko Ono.
    He was typecast as a tough guy.
    He was usually cast as Italian Americans despite being Puerto Rican.
    He was a long-term friend of Harvey Keitel.
    He was frequently cast in the films of Martin Scorsese and Abel Ferrara.
    He was a founding member of the Riverside Shakespeare Company (1977).
    Shortly before his death, he realized his lifelong dream of appearing on Broadway when he was cast in the Pulitzer Prize winning drama ‘Anna in the Tropics.’
