    Some baseball pundits thought his numbers were inflated as a result of playing in Colorado.
    He was allowed to leave the Rockies as a free agent, as the team was too cheap to pay him what he was worth in free agency.
    His role with the Yankees was initially intended to be a bench player.
    He was a member of the LSU baseball team that won the College World Series (2009).
    He established himself as an every day player upon being acquired by the Rockies.
    He tied a major league record by recording 12 assists in a single game.
