    Acted in feature films 'Reckless' (1935), 'The Gorgeous Hussy' (1936) and 'Krakatoa, East of Java' (1969)
    He was nicknamed after a breakfast food.
    He was often costumed to resemble Topsy, a stereotypical black child from 'Uncle Tom's Cabin.'
    Audiences were confused about his gender because he sometimes played a girl.
    His Our Gang character was notorious for his noisy weeping.
    He could find bit parts only after leaving 'Our Gang.'
    He appeared in the very first Our Gang short, 'One Terrible Day' (1922).
    His 'Our Gang' career lasted over ten years.
    He made the transition from silent to sound films.
    By the early thirties he was Our Gang's most popular, highly paid member.
