TV Series
    (July 8, 1990-March 27, 1996)
    Comedy series
    Originally aired on HBO
    Brian Benben as Martin Tupper
    Chris Demetral as Jeremy Tupper
Wendie Malick as Judith Tupper Stone
    Denny Dillon as Toby Pedalbee
Dorien Wilson as Eddie Charles (seasons 2–6)
Premise: A single father tries to balance his love life and career as a book publishing editor in New York City
The series heavily uses clips from older television programs to express Martin's feelings.
The reason? Martin spent his childhood in front of the television.
In many episodes, Martin makes out with other women only to have his heart broken later on.
At times, both Martin and his son Jeremy act like jerkasses.
The premise sounds like a an R-rated version of the classic sitcom 'Bachelor Father.'
As with various HBO shows airing in syndication, the show was heavily censored and edited for broadcast networks.
The show's creators would later helm 'Friends.'
    It launched Wendie Malick's career.
The theme tune is an ear worm.
Martin and Jeremy often had moments ranging from adorkable and lighthearted to heartwarming and tear jerking.
One of its seasons was rebroadcast on 'FOX.'
It was one of the very first comedy series with profanity and nudity.
John Landis later served as executive producer of the series.
