Why Sportscenter might be annoying:

He! Could! Go! All! The! Way!
It helped launch Craig Kilborn's career.
It devotes too much time to showing NFL-failure Sean Salisbury criticize the rest of the NFL.
It has become less useful with up to the minute scores being offered on the Internet.
It started the reality series, ‘Dream Job,' in which contestants competed for a job as a Sportscenter anchor. However the winner of the show anchored Sportscenter just once.
They make way too big of a deal about being shown in high-definition.
The anchors are constantly making bad jokes that delay the sports highlights.
It popularized many catch phrases, including ‘Boo-Yah!'
When showing golf highlights, they are more concerned with how Tiger Woods does, then who actually won the event, and at times forget to tell you who won.
They rarely show hockey highlights except for the fights.

Why Sportscenter might not be annoying:

It gives guys something to watch in the morning.
At the end of each show, they count down the top 10 plays of the day, which show the best plays from professional, college, and sometimes even high school sports.
It features the even more entertaining ‘Not Top 10 Plays of the Week,' showing the 10 best bloopers from the week.
It aired over 25,000 episodes.
It airs features showing the better side of professional athletes, such as Albert Pujols helping out with special needs children.
Some of its anchors have provided commentary for VH-1's ‘I Love the…' series.
The show makes references to everything from Aqua Teen Hunger Force to Scarface to Tenacious D.
