The Resume

    (July 11, 1983- )
    Born in Delhi, India
Indian recording label, film studio and YouTube channel
Full company name: T-Series Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited
    Founded by Gulshan Kumar
Currently owned by Krishan Kumar (Gulshan's younger brother) and Bhushan Kumar (Gulshan's son)
    Largest India-based record company
Engaged in a YouTube rivalry and subscription war with PewdiePie (since ca. August 2018; ongoing as of March 2019)
The 'T' in the name stands for 'Trishula', representing the trident wielded by the Hindu deity Shiva

Why they might be annoying:

Most of their YouTube content is in Hindi and Punjabi language, so their YouTube channel doesn't have many English-language fans save for some niche Bollywood cult fans and PewdiePie haters.
In their YouTube subscription war against PewdiePie, they are considered the 'corporation' against PewdiePie as the 'individual'.
In the sub wars, their subscription count was inflated by over 200,000 bot subscribers (which YouTube has since removed in regular audits).

Why they might not be annoying:

They're giving PewdiePie a run for his money for the most YouTube subscriptions!
They were the subject of PewdiePie's diss rap song 'B**ch Lasagna'.
Although T-Series is a corporation, PewdiePie's operation of his own channel and his oligarchical domination of YouTube for several years could also be considered corporation-like as well.
PewdiePie also had his fair share of subscriber inflation in the sub wars, having over 40,000 sub-bots removed from his own channel.
Many polarizing and controversial figures - Jake & Logan Paul, England's far-right UKIP political party, and even New Zealand mosque shooter Brenton Tarrant - used their positions to rally support for PewdiePie and against T-Series.
They gained more international publicity and fans from the sub wars.
Founder Gulshan Kumar had humble beginnings as a fruit-juice seller.
Gulshan was assassinated by members of the Mumbai criminal syndicate D-Company (August 12, 1997).
Their record label roster features many established international hip-hop artists, including Akon, Pitbull and M.I.A.
They are one of the most-viewed YouTube channels of all time, in addition to one of the most-subscribed.
