    One episode of Land of the Lost is his only work to be filmed.
    His 'Grand Tour' series about the colonization of the solar system by mankind is one of the greatest multi-volume series in sci-fi history and is a true saga.
    He's published almost 120 books, including non-fiction.
    A former newspaper reporter, he's been a science reporter for CBS Morning News, Good Morning America and the Today Show.
