In the first series, he chose more kindness-and-personality contestants than the looks-only contestants.
He has great hair.
He had to learn how to act like a rich person.
He had extensive etiquette training.
He openly admits that there were women who did not want to pursue a relationship with him because he didn't make enough money.
With minor acting experience, he was able to convince the contestants that he was an heir to a big fortune.
