They were childhood friends who met at an English boarding school.
When Gabriel left, they auditioned a lot of singers, but finally decided to stick with Collins.
Their video for 'Land of Confusion' made fun of Ronald Reagan.
They stayed successful despite changes in personnel and musical style.
