Why she might be annoying:

She smokes.
Growing up, in the Deep South, she ate – and made use of the remains of – squirrel (‘they’d think you were a freak if you ate squid there!’).
She doesn’t shave her armpits or use antiperspirant.
She came from a stereotypical Footloose-type Bible Belt town (not exactly conducive to homosexuality).
Some of her outfits leave little to the imagination.
Other outfits look too tight on her to accommodate 100-pound women of any height.

Why she might not be annoying:

She will moon the crowd, sometimes from both sides.
British publication New Musical Express, or NME, named her the Coolest Person in Rock (2006) and nominated her as Sexiest Woman of the Year (2007; she lost).
She is a good friend of Kate Moss (her visual opposite).
She is highly outspoken — especially about bullying and topics that aren’t so controversial.
