Musicians
Formed in 1969 in Waverley, Nova Scotia, Canada
    1979 line-up:
Myles Goodwyn – vocals, guitars, keyboards
Brian Greenway – vocals, guitars, harmonica
Gary Moffet – guitars, background vocals
Steve Lang – bass, background vocals
    Jerry Mercer – drums
Recorded 'Fast Train,' 'You Could Have Been a Lady,' 'Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love,' 'Oowatanite,' 'The Whole World's Goin' Crazy,' 'You Won't Dance With Me,' 'Rock and Roll is a Vicious Game,' 'Roller,' 'Just Between You and Me,' 'Sign of the Gypsy Queen,' 'Enough is Enough' and 'If You Believe in Me'
They've been through numerous line-up changes, with Myles Goodwyn left as the only original member.
This includes co-founding members and brothers David and Ritchie Henman and cousin Jim Henman, who by 1973 were out of the band.
They've had just three Top 40 hits in the U.S. (with 1981's 'Just Between You and Me' the highest charter at #21).
In 1982, Goodwyn moved from Canada to the Bahamas, alienating himself from other band members.
In 1986, contractually owing their record company one more album and with just Goodwyn and Greenway remaining, they recorded a lackluster album and dissolved the band.
Reforming in 1992 has not given them the success they've enjoyed in the past.
They've released an astounding 14 compilation (aka - 'greatest hits') albums.
They came up with their band name by simply stating the two words sounded good together.
They're known as relentless tourers, and in their first 10 years as a band, recorded eight albums.
Their first U.S. Top 40 song was a 1972 cover of Hot Chocolate's 'You Could Have Been a Lady.'
They scored six platinum albums, including 1981's 'The Nature of the Beast,' which went multi-platinum internationally.
They've opened for such acts as The Rolling Stones, Styx, Nazareth and fellow Canadians Rush.
They have 21 Top 40 hits in Canada, including six Top 10 songs.
Their songs are featured in the movies 'Joe Dirt (2001)' and 'Trailer Park Boys (2006),' and in the video game 'RoadKill.'
In 2009, they were inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame and given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Canadian Radio Music Awards.
