He has a lame nickname for a mascot.
He had nothing good to root for during his six years in Vancouver.
He was changed from being a brown bear to a blue bear upon the franchise's rebrand.
He bears a resemblance to Herry Monster of Sesame Street fame.
He has an alter-ego known as 'Super Grizz.'

Why Grizz might not be annoying:

He was chosen in honor of the species which are native to British Columbia.
He became a staple at charity events in the Mid-South region upon the relocation.
He gives his time to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
He was the only mascot in NBA history to represent a team on both sides of the border.
He made his Memphis debut at the historic Pyramid Arena.
