    (1997- )
    Formed in Charlestown, Indiana
    Original line-up:
    Travis Meeks (vocals/guitar)
    Todd Whitener (guitar)
    Jesse Vest (bass)
    Matt Taul (drums)
Recorded the songs ‘Touch, Peel and Stand,' ‘Shelf in the Room,' ‘The Downtown,' and ‘Enemy'
Recorded the albums ‘Days of the New I,' ‘Days of the New II,' and ‘Days of the New III'
Their albums had really lame titles.
They came out 5 years too late to be a part of the grunge trend.
Travis' voice has been called a ripoff to the voice of Layne Staley from Alice in Chains.
‘Days of the New I' was their only commercially successful album.
They abused drugs and Travis was addicted to crystal meth.
Travis fired the rest of the band in 1999, and made Days of the New a solo project with studio musicians.
‘Touch, Peel, and Stand' stayed at number one on the Billboard Rock Charts for 17 weeks.
They were signed to a major record label when they were teenagers.
Their debut album produced 3 top 40 hits.
All of the original members of the band (except Travis) had success as members of the band Tantric.
