The Resume

    (August 16, 1919-June 4, 2005)
    Born in Boston, Massachusetts
Birth name was Lorna Patricia Casey
Acted in ' The Lusty Men (1952),' 'Women's Prison (1955),' 'The Beast with a Million Eyes (1955),' 'I Want to Live! (1958),' 'Freckles (1960),' 'The Gravy Train (1974),' 'Smoke in the Wind (1975),' 'Buddy Buddy (1981),' and 'Nothing in Common (1986)'
Best remembered as the unnamed waitress of the 'the 'chicken salad sandwich-scene' opposite Jack Nicholson in 'Five Easy Pieces (1970)'

Why she might be annoying:

    She married twice.
She was a character actress who worked for over forty years in movies and television only to be remembered for a two minute argument over a chicken salad sandwich.
Her last movie role was a bit part in the Al Pacino/Michelle Pfeiffer film 'Frankie and Johnny,' before retiring.
A question that has plagued mankind for centuries: why couldn't she just give the guy his damned tomatoes and wheat toast!?

Why she might not be annoying:

She moved to California from New England when she was six, brought by her aspiring actress mother to avoid the harsh New England winters.
She made her Broadway debut in 'Comes a Day' in 1958, returning six years later with a role in 'Never Live Over a Pretzel Factory.'
Her film career was briefly revived with new offers after 'Five Easy Pieces.'
The 'chicken salad sandwich' scene is the most famous scene from the movie - it was a reflection of the generational conflict of the ‘60s.
Her daughter claimed she had a very sweet disposition in real life (as such the scene has always bothered her because the audience takes an instant dislike to the character).
She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease five years before her death.
She said: 'There is no competition in true art, only contributions.'
