The Resume

    (January 23, 1966- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
    Journalist and television personality
Senior political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC
Staff writer for New York Magazine, The Economist, and Wired
With Mark Halperin co-wrote ‘Game Change’ (2010) and ‘Double Down: Game Change 2012’ (2013)
Co-host for Showtime's 'The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth' (2016 - )

Why he might be annoying:

He physically resembles Mr. Six from Six Flags.
His talk show 'With All Due Respect' was cancelled by MSNBC due to lackluster ratings.
He has been accused of capitalizing on the public appetite for 'palace intrigue' narratives in election cycles (others have just called it propagating 'high school gossip').
He claimed to have been 'flabbergasted and shocked' by sexual misconduct allegations against co-host Mark Halperin, further claiming to have 'never heard of' nor 'been exposed to' any such behavior (and when you pull the other leg, it plays Journey...)
His throwing Halperin under the bus had unforeseen consequences, as the rights to all of their 'Game Change' properties was held jointly between the two authors, provoking a feud that resulted in several film projects being scuttled.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a diehard fan of the Wu Tang Clan.
He earned a master's degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He had received acclaim for publishing a well-researched book on the Microsoft anti-trust case and Bill Gates.
Reports on Harry Reid complimenting Obama on his 'lack of a negro dialect' and on the President (reportedly) joking 'I've gotten really good at killing people' in his books both became national news stories on their own.
His heated interview with Russian Foreign Ministry dignitary Maria Zakharova on 'The Circus' went viral on social media.
He criticized Donald Trump for disputing the Hurricane Maria death toll figures for Puerto Rico during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert musing: 'He’s like the first Puerto Rican truther … It’s like even the Sandy Hook truthers are going, Dude, people died!'
