Why they might be annoying:

It doesn't have a women's division, or any regular female wrestlers.
The ring mat is plastered with numerous advertisements, most notably ads for Japan's Lawson convenience stores and the video game 'Pac-Man'.
The popular 'Bullet Club' stable, who usually portray 'face' or 'anti-hero' wrestlers in America, are depicted as flat-out villainous 'heels' in Japan.

Why they might not be annoying:

It's a viable alternative to the WWE, and is very popular in America.
It is the second largest and second most popular wrestling promotion in the world, just behind the WWE.
It's had crossover deals with several American promotions through the years (in the past, WWE, TNA and Global Force; currently, Ring of Honor).
It's featured many popular wrestlers such as Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Shinsuke Nakamura, Juice Robinson and the Young Bucks.
Unlike most other second-tier and indie wrestling promotions, it can be watched on a basic cable channel (Mark Cuban's AXS-TV network).
It has its own officially-licensed expansion pack for the 2018 pro-wrestling video game 'Fire Pro Wrestling World'.
