Why he might be annoying:

    He was passed over in the NHL Entry Draft, as a result of his small stature.
    He was embroiled in a contract dispute with the Rangers, which played a factor in his decision to go to the KHL prior to the lockout.
    Despite his impressive play, he receives little to no recognition, despite the fact he plays in one of the largest media markets in North America.
    He went by Zuccarello-Aasen in the Norwegian and Swedish leaues, before shortening it when he signed his NHL contract.
    His career nearly ended after he took a puck to the head from his own teammate.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the first Norwegian to play in the Stanley Cup Finals (2014).
    He was discovered by NHL scouts at the Vancouver Olympics when he played for Norway.
    He is the second Norwegian, behind Patrick Thoresen to play in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
    He became a fan favorite amongst Ranger fans due to his small stature and gritty play.
    He defied the odds a year after his injury and posted career high numbers in all offensive categories.
