Sports Executive

The Resume

    (1939-March 21, 2017)
    Born in Chicago, Illinois
General Manager of the Chicago Bulls (1985-2003)
Two-time NBA Executive of the Year (1989,1997)
Also served as a scout for several professional baseball and basketball teams

Why he might be annoying:

He was an unathletic evaluator of athletic talent.
The most notable player during his time with the Bulls, Michael Jordan, was acquired before the Bulls hired Krause.
He butted heads with Jordan and coach Phil Jackson.
He promoted his role in the 1990s Bulls' success with lines such as 'Players and coaches alone don't win championships. Organizations win championships.'
He couldn't build a winning team after Jordan and Jackson left the Bulls in 1998.
    He was very secretive.

Why he might not be annoying:

Jordan frequently mocked his appearance by calling him 'Crumbs.'
He brought in players such as Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman and Toni Kukoc who helped Jordan and the Bulls win six NBA titles.
He hired Phil Jackson, who would go on to win the most NBA championships as a coach.
He was a Chicago native who got to lead a hometown pro sports organization.
Despite being more famed as a general manager, he said he wanted his tombstone to read, 'Here lies the heart and soul of a scout.'
