    It is known for having extremely harsh winters.
    It has a reputation for being dangerous and unsafe to walk around.

    Since it is located in a transition zone, it is home to a lot of breathtaking scenery as you travel northwards.
    It served as the home riding for Canadian Prime Ministers Sir. Wilfrid Laurier, William Lyon Mackenzie King and John Diefenbaker.
    It was appointed the capital city of the District of Saskatchewan, prior to the province entering confederation and Regina getting the title in the province.
    It is a major stop for tourists as it is the last major roadway before heading to the province's Lakeland region.
    Prince Albert National Park to the north, takes its name after the city.
