Why he might be annoying:

He divorced.
His first attempt at directing, 'Born To Defend,' met with failure.
He was originally cast in the role of the character Li Mu Bai in Ang Lee's martial arts blockbuster 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,' but turned it down to take the lead in the inferior 'Romeo Must Die.'
His American films have not showcased his talents.

Why he might not be annoying:

Jet Li started training at the Beijing Wu Shu academy at nine (Wu Shu is China's national sport, largely a performance version of various martial art styles), and won five gold medals in the Chinese championships (his first when he was only 11).
He was Wu Shu world champion several times winning a trip to Washington D.C. to meet President Richard Nixon.
He studies English with a tutor four hours a day.
Many believe his breakout Hollywood role saved the inferior sequel 'Lethal Weapon 4.'
He is the biggest Asian movie star after Jackie Chan.
