He had Crohn's disease, which threatened his life and caused him to have nearly a foot of his intestines removed.
His coach made a ballsy move by cutting the Jags' starter, and giving the job to backup Garrard.
He has his own foundation to promote breast cancer awareness and research, because his mother died of breast cancer when he was 14.
