His 1-800 line operators are irate and often curse at people when they don't like the questions people ask.
He believed in a lot of far fetched prophecies.
He was married three times and divorced twice.
He referred to Bill Clinton as a 'honker.'
He publicly bashed his ex-wives on his program.
He refused to be acknowledged as a televangelist.

Why he might not be annoying:

He admitted he became sterile after a bout with smallpox in childhood.
He attended Stanford where he majored in Christian ethics teaching.
The documentary 'God's Angry Man' is based on him and his unorthodox style of Bible Study.
