    (December 30, 1939-April 17, 1983)
Born in The Bronx, New York
    Bassist and producer
Bassist for the band Mountain (1969-74)
Produced the Cream albums 'Disraeli Gears' (1967), 'Wheels of Fire' (1968) and 'Goodbye' (1969)
Recorded the solo album 'Don't Worry, Ma' (1979)
Mountain's Leslie West complained that he exploited the band's success to found a record label, publishing company and management firm. ('He owned everything. He was a greedy guy.')
He was forced to retire from Mountain due to hearing loss from the band's high-volume shows.
Near the end, he would show up hours late for Mountain's recording sessions.
At the time of his death, he was conducting an affair with Valerie Merians, a young aspiring singer.
He was called the fourth member of Cream for role as a producer, musician (usually on keyboards) and occasional songwriter.
Leslie West said, 'Meeting Felix was my first big break.'
He was fatally shot by his wife Gail.
Although her response was to call her attorney rather than an ambulance, Gail managed to convince a jury that the shooting was unintentional and served less than two years for 'criminally negligent homicide.'
