Why he might be annoying:

    He was assigned #55 by the Wild during his rookie season, which led some people to joke that his jersey read 'DUMBASS.'
    He spells his first name with one t in it.
    His surname is confusing, as some people pronounce it DUM-ba and others pronounce it DOOM-bah.
    He ruptured a pectoral muscle in a fight, which cost him the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
    His style of play was described as too intense by hockey pundits.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the first NHL player of both Filipino and Romanian descent.
    He was considered a swift skating defenseman by hockey pundits.
    He asked the late Derek Boogaard's family for permission to wear #24 for the Wild.
    When the Wild intended to make him a healthy scratch for a game, he was forced into the lineup due to a late game injury, and elevated his game to another level to remain in the lineup for the season.
