He was neurotic and suffered from depression.
He refused to admit he wrote 'The Necessity of Atheism,' which resulted in his expulsion from Oxford.
He was a vegetarian.
He was married twice before twenty-five.
He was in love with his cousin Harriet and wanted to marry her.
His first wife killed herself, some say because Percy left her to be with Mary (Wollstonecraft) Shelley.

He was an easy touch always giving his friends money and paying off their debts.
He is considered among the great English poets.
He was married to Mary Shelley.
When he was young he was viciously tormented by bullies (they coined him 'Mad Shelley') because he refused to conform to the school's standards.
He loved children.
He embraced new ideas.
He invited poet John Keats, who was ill with consumption, to stay at the Shelleys' house in Italy.
He was kind and sensitive.
He drowned at thirty, when his boat was caught in a storm.
