Why he might be annoying:

He was arrested at a UC Berkeley-Stanford football game when he jumped out of the stands and tackled the Stanford mascot (1992).
He ran with the bulls in Pamplona and liked to show off the resulting scar (July, 2001).
He originally planned to fly on September 10, but rescheduled his flight after waking up with a hangover after a friend's birthday party.
He is overshadowed by fellow United 93 passenger Todd Beamer.

Why he might not be annoying:

After his parents' divorce, he and his mom lived out of her car.
He was president of his fraternity, Chi Psi.
He was a member of the University of California, Berkeley, rugby team, and helped them win two national championships (1991,1993).
He protected his boyfriend, Paul Holm, from an armed mugger.
He and the other passengers kept the terrorists from reaching their target.
Senator John McCain delivered the eulogy at his memorial service.
Holm said, 'We in the gay community should be particularly proud because his actions broke a lot of stereotypes.'
