Why he might be annoying:

The phrase 'Capra Corn' was coined to describe the sickly sentimental content of his films.
In his autobiography, his took all the credit for his successes and none of the blame for his failures.
He broke ties with Columbia Pictures when they put his name on some inferior pictures for their release in England.
When Will Rogers announced the winner of the 1933 Best Director Oscar by saying 'Come up and get it, Frank!' and Capra ran to the stage.
The winner was actually Frank Lloyd for 'Cavalcade.'

Why he might not be annoying:

His film 'It Happened One Night' was the first movie to receive all of the five major Academy Awards.
He made combat documentaries during World War II.
He won the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award.
He directed many of the most beloved films ever made.
