    Full name is Danell Patrick Malloy
    New York Assistant District Attorney (1980-1984)
    29th Mayor of Stamford, Connecticut (1995-2009)
    88th Governor of Connecticut (elected 2010)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was raised as a Roman Catholic.
    He lost his first bid for governor of Connecticut in 2006.
    During the 2010 gubernatorial elections in the state, there was a balloting controversy over several polling places that were open until 10 PM due to ballot shortages.
    This resulted in a mini-Florida style cliffhanger as to who was the winner of the election between Malloy and Republican opponent, Tom Foley.
    His proposed tax increases were viewed as unpopular within the state.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He suffered from dyslexia as a child.
    He helped the city of Stamford reduce its crime rate to significantly low levels.
    His political partner Nancy Wyman made state history by becoming the first woman to be elected state controller.
    He is progressive on several social and fiscal issues.
    His wife Cathy is the Executive Director of the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education.
