He sometimes called himself Nilsson.
He starred in the god-awful movie 'Son of Dracula,' with Ringo Starr.
Despite writing songs and making records, he never preformed live, because he could not recreate the sounds he made in the studio on stage.
He wrote jingles.
When Mike Nesmith first heard him perform, he said: 'Where the fuck did you come from?' (Mike's group the Monkees, later recorded his songs 'Cuddley Toy' and 'Daddy's Song').
He named his album 'Aerial Ballet' after his grandparents' circus act.
He made front page news for being John Lennon's drinking buddy, when they were thrown out of a bar in LA, during Lennon's so-called 'Lost Weekend.'
