Why she might be annoying
Her bio states she was attending high school at the time of her discovery, which put her at age 23.
After her modeling gig she moved to Hollywood to become an actress, but her father disapproved and convinced her to return to Fresno.
When her raisin fame wore off, she led a routine life as a Fresno restaurant owner and later a nursing home operator.
In 1974 she traded the priceless original portrait of herself and her trademark red bonnet to Sun-Maid execs for a plaque and $1,700.
Why she might not be annoying
Wearing her mom's red bonnet while brushing her curly brown hair she was in the right place at the right time with the right look and became famous.
By the end of the 1920s Americans tripled their raisin consumption due to her face and a strong ad campaign.
She was further paid to hand out boxes of raisins at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition as well as drop raisins from a low flying airplane in San Francisco.
In 1988 the Sun-Maid people donated the famed red bonnet to the Smithsonian Institution.
Though upgraded throughout the years the face of the Sun-Maid remains true to her facial features from a simpler time so many years ago.
