Even though Saint John and Moncton are the largest cities in the province, Fredericton is the provincial capital.
It had an AHL team which folded and went to Quebec City.
They annexed seven different towns to form the present-day city.
It is viewed as more of a college town.
It is the least heard of out of all the Canadian capital cities.
Why Fredericton, New Brunswick might not be annoying
It is home to a lot of diverse communities.
It is one of the most historical cities in the Maritimes.
It was used as a settlement for the Acadian population in the 1700s and a lot of their history comes from that.
It has a extremely large Roman Catholic community.
It is a bi-lingual city which is the reason it was chosen as provincial capital.
