    Wrote 'Optimum Health' (1935), 'You Can Stay Well' (1939), 'Vitality Through Planned Nutrition' (1942), 'Let's Cook It Right' (1947), 'Let's Have Healthy Children' (1951), 'Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit' (1954) and 'Let's Get Well' (1965)
    Under the pen name Jane Dunlap, wrote 'Exploring Inner Space: Personal Experiences Under LSD-25' (1961)
    She was a proponent of dubious 'megavitamin' therapies.
    Many of the physicians cited for support in her books complained that they had been misquoted or misrepresented.
    'Let's Have Healthy Children' was recalled and re-edited after a two month old child died when his parents followed Davis' recommendations by treating his colic with potassium chloride (1978).
    She said, 'I think the crime scene, the mental-health scene, the drug scene are related to nutritional defects.'
    She claimed she never saw anyone get cancer who drank a quart of milk a day as she did.
    When she was diagnosed with bone cancer, she complained, 'I thought this was for people who drink soft drinks, who eat white bread, who eat refined sugar and so on.'
    She adopted two children.
    In her diet books, she emphasized making meals delicious as well as nutritious.
    She criticized obstetricians who forced pregnant women to control their weight too stringently.
    In a poll by online magazine 'Insight on the News,' she placed #6 on the 'Scientists of the Century' list.
