    He damaged an oak tree, along with various vehicles after he hit home runs in both high school and the minor leagues.
    He backed out of the letter of intent he signed at UCLA after he was drafted by the Braves.
    He struggled with injuries during the final couple seasons of his tenure in Atlanta.
    He was traded to the Cardinals in a salary dump move by the Braves, who didn't want to sign him to a long-term contract.

    He is the son of Ivy League educated parents who attended Dartmouth.
    He is the first player in major league history to win a Gold Glove with three different teams.
    He called the players only meeting during the rain delay in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.

    He is among the first African-American players to win a World Series with the Cubs.
