Why Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels might be annoying:

It followed Hanna-Barbera's standard Scooby-Doo outline, with a caveman replacing the talking dog.
Captain Caveman's design copied the Slag Brothers from H-B's 'Wacky Races.'
As if there was not enough recycling going on already, the music played under the closing credits was the theme from the short-lived cartoon 'C.B. Bears.'
Dee Dee and Brenda had their names switched in the opening credits.

Why Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels might not be annoying:

Forget the caveman; the Teen Angels were the hottest trio of babes on Saturday morning TV.
After the show went off the air, Captain Caveman returned as a recurring character on 'The Flintstone Comedy Hour' (1980-82) and the star of a show-within-the-show on 'Flinstone Kids' (1986-88).
It managed to get more mileage out of the 'caveman in modern times' premise than the live-action Cavemen did.
