    (1972- )
    Born in Atlanta, Georgia
Recorded the albums 'Mother's Finest,' 'Another Mother Further,' 'Mother Factor,' 'Iron Age,' 'Black Radio Won't Play This Record,' and 'Meta-Funk'n Physical'
Members are: Joyce Kennedy (vocals), Glenn Murdock (vocals), John Hayes (guitar), Gary Moore (guitar), Jerry Seay (bass), and Dion Murdock (drums)
They recorded two albums titled 'Mother's Finest,' in 1972 and 1976.
The 1972 album was disavowed by the band.
They all wore scary-looking platinum boots in the 1970s.
They called one song 'Niggizz Can't Sang Rock & Roll' (good luck getting that one played on the radio!).
Their music is an innovative blend of funk, soul, and hard rock.
Joyce Kennedy and Glenn Murdock are married and their son now plays in the band.
Their lyrics on 'Black Radio Won't Play This Record' addressed racism, AIDS, and crack babies.
They are known as an electrifying live band.
They are in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
