Why he might be annoying:

He is considered the least talented winner of the MVP award in the award's history.
After leading the Twins to their first World Series appearance in 1965, his salary was doubled and his career promptly collapsed.
He never learned to read or write in English, which badly hurt his chances for employment after his career ended.
The San Diego Padres picked him up in the expansion draft and promptly traded him.

Why he might not be annoying:

Zoilo is a great name.
He was an exciting fielder.
Then Minnesota coach Billy Martin motivated him to become all-star player.
He had the season of his life in 1965 (he led the league in doubles, triples, runs scored and won a Gold Glove) as he drove the Twins to the World Series.
His homer off Don Drysdale led to the Twins winning Game One in the 1965 World Series.
He badly injured his back while playing for the Dodgers in 1968, and never physically recovered.
He suffered two heart attacks after his retirement.
He sold his Gold Glove, All Star and MVP awards to pay debts.
He attempted comebacks with Mexican and Japanese baseball clubs.
After the Twins traded him, he continued to live in Minnesota until his death.
He had a single dream season (1965).
