    Notable works as a solo artist include 'Had a Dream (Sleeping With the Enemy)' and 'In Jeopardy'

Why he might be annoying:

    He is a vegetarian.
    He divorced his wife after 26 years of marriage (2005).
    Despite performing a good portion of Supertramp's songs, he isn't allowed to use the name in promotions.
    He left Supertramp at the peak of its popularity.
    Rumours persisted that he and Rick Davies were at odds, which led to his departure.
    He broke both his wrists in a fall in his home, prior to the release of his second album Hai Hai (1987).
    He quit recording music for a number of years, after his album Hai Hai failed commercially.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He taught himself how to play the guitar at the age of 12.
    His lyrics are considered spiritual and philosophical by music pundits.
    He stated his main reason for leaving Supertramp, was to give his kids a normal upbringing.
    Despite not being able to use the Supertramp name in promotions, he is allowed to perform their singles at his concerts.
    He voluntarily played the bass, upon Richard Palmer being selected as Supertramp's lead guitarist.
    His debut solo album 'In The Eye Of The Storm' was extremely succesful on the music charts.
